New TMI Training Program Announced for April 2011- Civility Training
Once thought to be the responsibility of parents to teach these skills, now the need falls to the workplace to train our team about what constitutes effective workplace communication. There must be an acceptable level of civility, a focus on conversations and interactions, learn how to disagree in employees, and an established standard of conduct and civility. Because this next generation is so used to texting, we have to train the appropriate interpersonal skills so communication within the workplace is as effective as possible. Likewise, in our culture where rudeness is accepted, lack of civility has become a cross-generational issue. Attendees will learn that it is acceptable and important to provide Civility Training and guidelines in the workplace and enforce these expectations with all staff.
Participants will:
- Identify common civility issues and the importance of providing clear expectations of acceptable levels of civility and communication within the workplace
- Focus on conversations and interactions between employees/teammates/associates/peers/customers
- Establish a workplace standard of conduct and civility as a group that can be easily implemented and trained in the workplace
